AFUA HIRSCHis a writer, broadcaster, and former barrister. A formidable voice for change, Afua was recently named as one of the most influential people of African heritage in the UK. Hirsch's book Brit(ish): On Race, Identity and Belonging was published in 2018 and became a Sunday Times bestseller, kickstarting a national conversation about what it means to grow up a person of colour in the UK. Her bestselling children’s book about the UK’s first female supreme court judge was recently selected as one of the best picture books of all time. Afua is a creative partner for an ethical fashion brand and has written for publications ranging from Time Magazine, British Vogue, and the Sunday Times. Afua is represented by Crumb Agency for fashion and advertising campaigns.
SHON FAYE is a Journalist, Comedian and Sunday Times bestselling author of The Transgender Issue. Shon is known for her political and cultural commentary on LGBTQ+, women's, and mental health issues. Her widely applauded, landmark work published by Penguin Books, signals the beginning of a new, healthier conversation about trans life. It is a manifesto for change, and a call for justice and solidarity between all marginalized people and minorities. Trans liberation, as Faye sees it, goes to the root of what our society is and what it could be — it offers the possibility of a more just, free and joyful world for all of us. She has been Dazed’s LGBTQ+ editor-at-large, has contributed to the Guardian, VICE, Attitude, appeared in the UN campaign to end violence against women and is the presenter of the much-loved podcast Call Me Mother.
ASHLEIGH KANEis a digital-first storyteller and visual curator with a finger on the pulse of global culture and Arts & Photography Editor-at-Large at Dazed. In 2020, she was part of the fundraising team behind the Anti-Racism Photography Fundraiser which sold £91,800 in print sales, all profits are being donated to Black Minds Matter, The Black Curriculum, and Exist Loudly. ASHLEIGH has six years of experience hosting panels and talks, which have previously featured Tyler Mitchell, Kimberly Drew, Virgil Abloh, Dexter Navy, and many others. Other past clients include brands such as Gucci, Levi’s, Nike, Converse, and more.
GEORGINA JOHNSON is a polymath by nature - an artist, writer, designer, and curator, dedicated to transforming our creative ecologies. Since graduating with first-class honours from LCF in Womenswear and Pattern Cutting, Johnson has gone on to engage with disciplines that reach far beyond the practice in which she began. Johnson is a singular and rare voice in our creative industries for the way she refuses the status quo, prioritising shifting the paradigm over surface level or individual progress alone. Her work is a testament to the importance of her authentic voice for our hyphenated and global experience. As a commentator and thinker, she has contributed to panels with SHOWstudio, Fashion Revolution and Amsterdam Art Weekend and has been profiled by an array of publications including Creative Review, Garage Magazine, i-D and British Vogue.
SHIVA RAICHANDANI is a multidisciplinary international non-binary performance artist and content creator. Shiva's work harnesses the power of storytelling to create inclusive spaces for positive gender-diverse representation in media, especially for south Asians. Shiva was a semi-finalist on Britain’s Got Talent; competed on India’s and France’s Got Talent; participated in an exclusive Netflix short film; delivered a TEDx talk; performed at Cannes Lions; has been featured by the likes of Google, Variety, Getty Images, Instagram, and Vogue; danced in a Marvel film (Eternals); and has walked the London Queer Fashion Show. Born in Hong Kong, raised in Dubai and Indonesia, educated in India, and currently based in London, Shiva is an ideal example of a global citizen with rich sensitivity to diverse cultures.
