During coronavirus lockdown, many of us have been stuck in our houses for days on end, only going out for the weekly shop or to take our government-mandated walk. For some people though, staying home hasn’t been an option. And though lockdown measures across the world ebb, flow, and lift, Saam Farahmand’s new short film aims to highlight the young people without a place to call home amid the pandemic and beyond by highlighting the incredible work done by charity Centrepoint. We were honoured to be able to work on this incredible project, raising awareness for the plight of youth homelessness and the impact it has on individuals aged 16-25 and how Centrepoint have been working tirelessly to help.
“Centrepoint supports homeless youths between 16 and 25 who live and sleep on the very streets these dancers performed on,” Farahmand explains. He also hopes that the film will inspire responses from other cities across the UK, or even worldwide, adding: “This is a challenge if you want it. Step up and show London your answer.”
